Blackfinn Ameripub, Ashburn
This place was love at first bite! My girlfriends and I went there for lunch. I had a cup of the baked potato soup. Delicious is an understatement! It was so good, I went back with my boyfriend that night and ordered the last bowl of the soup. I have eaten there repeatedly since that first day. Everything is good! The fish and chips can't get any better. The shrimp and grits--delicious! The shrimp and grits seem to get better every time. You have never had shrimp and grits like these. The wings, the nachos, the wedge salad with buffalo strips... I could go on and on and on. The owner Peter is so friendly, so personable and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and work the tables.
UPDATE: I celebrated a birthday with a relative at BlackFinn in October 2021. I was happy to see Black Finn survived the pandemic and still has good food. I was sorry to see Shrimp and Grits are no longer on the menu. The team at Black Finn could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend them for your private event. We were allowed to decorate prior to the event and had a dedicated server.
Platinum Nail Spa, Ashburn (formerly Tiffany's Nail Spa)
I have been going to Platinum Nail Spa (Tiffany's Nails) for approximately 13-15 years. A couple of years ago, a new owner acquired it and it shows. I am so impressed with the renovations. It still offers the same great service, but now in a posh environment. The new owner has put a lot of time into the little details. She made this a spa as opposed to a "place to get your nails done." Water infused with fruit as well as grapes and cheese are served. They now serve wine too! There is an iPad at every nail station. You can surf the net or watch Netflix. Beautiful flower arrangements are everywhere. The new chairs, lights and flooring have really made this an upscale location.
